Carry the signal. Keep her quiet.
You pilot MOTH 07, a small courier ship, through an ocean of living cloud. Something enormous is listening. Something else is following the trail you left.
There are no weapons. Build momentum, cut the drive and trust the instruments—until the storm starts answering in familiar voices.
Inside the ship
- Five crossings, from your first quiet passage to a final run among all four creatures.
- A ship with weight and momentum: power, drift, bank and choose when to burn.
- Four different dangers: the Listener, Lantern, Wake Hunter and the recording Choir.
- Dark volumetric storms, wet cockpit glass and three working analog-style instruments.
- Sound, heat, light and old trails that make your choices matter.
- Chapter checkpoints, a practice archive, free flight, and adjustable sound and comfort settings.
Download and play
Windows download. Extract the whole ZIP, keep its folders together and launch Veilwake.exe. Unreal Editor is not needed. See START_HERE.txt for controls.
Contains darkness, pursuing creatures and storm lightning. Reduced lightning and reduced camera motion options are available in Settings.
Free public playtest — review .20. Download and try the current build while we continue polishing it. Please leave feedback in the comments with your hardware, the crossing you played, and any bugs or confusing moments.
Performance tuning, encounter balance and release testing are ongoing; final system requirements are still being established.

Install instructions
Extract the entire ZIP first. Keep Veilwake.exe, Engine and Veilwake together, then launch Veilwake.exe. Unreal Editor is not required.
Choose New Journey, then Begin Crossing. See START_HERE.txt for controls. Tab brings the instruments closer while flight continues; Escape pauses.
If Windows reports a missing Microsoft Visual C++ runtime, the matching x64 redistributable is included under Engine/Extras/Redist/en-us.
For updates, extract the new version into its own folder instead of mixing files. Keep your previous copy until the replacement starts normally. This is a development review build; final system requirements and release testing are still in progress.
